Deep in our big remembering and connection to the night sky, a star studded mystery reflected in our bones, comes the flying swan of North Native European mythology and orientation. The swan is the constellation of Cygnus, once our North Star many thousand years ago, many ancestors ago. She stirs the primordial memory of who we are as she sweeps and swoops along the northern horizon of our winter sky. Flying a migration pattern around our present North Star, Polaris, she whispers of a time before this. She is an important part of our cosmology around birth and death. Perceived as a bird of flight, she carries the departing soul towards the final walk along the Milky Way while bringing the new souls down to be delivered here on earth (the stork). Now as we walk around the latitudes of the ancient northern hemisphere Cygnus holds big sway with the Russians, Northern Europeans, and Native Americans (Birdman, Brain Smasher)… So indeed who are these carriers of ancient starry wisdom? Always I am seeking, questing, thirsting and never arriving. Like the circular orbit of Cygnus with no beginning and no ending, I am called to live in the big wondering —Sarah✨✨✨ Loving this beautiful new symbol to represent my work by the incredible Nikki Jacoby ✨✨✨stay tuned for new website and expanding community and connection forthcoming with the new year new moon
