Ceremony

Ceremony holds the sacred within the mundane to create a bridge between the seen and the unseen.  Ceremony allows for the heart of creation to be immediate and present, spinning threads together that make up the fabric of our lives. In ceremony we have an opportunity to truly remember who we are in the bigger sense of creative purpose and that life is about all our relatives in life and not just the human ones.  The Shamanic understanding is that matter arises out of vibration and light. In ceremony we are granted permission to enter that world that proceeds the physical and thus participate with intention, into something far greater than ourselves.

Ceremony is a place of healing where the natural forces conspire to readdress and rebalance our mind, body and spirit.  There is a deep remembering that our bodies are on loan from our Mother and it is our Mother Earth that holds the key to our capacity to live well within our lives. Thus we are gifted an opportunity to readdress negative energies and to ask for the blessing of our dreams and desires of our families and community.

Ceremony allows us to move from disconnection to belonging, from the manmade to the wild and intelligent nature that we live within. From dissolution and perceived confusion to relationship and love… This for me is found in the landscape of ceremony and is an expression of sheer beauty.

Ceremony is a way of life.  A way of celebrating and being present to what is encircled around us in swirling prayer of possibility, uplifted in song of connection and then made real in intention and in action. It is a large and sweeping gesture of love, devotion, dedication and deep gratitude and is open to all that step through the ceremonial threshold in trust and faith of being held.

Blessing ceremonies allow us to welcome the good things in life and share with each other and in community, the gifts of life.  We can give thanks to the elements of water, air, fire, and earth, and to the sacred around us both visible and invisible to our physical eye. Ceremony is an opportunity to welcome in all the changes and transitions we go through with inspiration, hope, recognition and gratitude. With a blessing we are able to ask our Creator for  protection and favor for the experiences and transitions in life that we find ourselves in.
