Sacred Threads : Weaving Connection Through Shamanic Practice–Soul Doctoring, Level 1
When: Tuesday March 4th – Monday March 10th 2025
Where: Aldermarsh | Whidbey Island, Washington
Who: This retreat is included in Elemental Weaving’s tuition and is welcome to All Arbor and the general community.
Shamanism is a way of seeing and healing that connects us to the living world. It’s about being aware of the energetic beings and spirits that surround us and working with them to bring about greater well-being in our physical and energetic lives.
Before we were born, we were part of a larger spiritual realm. In this realm, we experienced life in a different way, and we had a deeper connection to the world around us. But when we were born into the physical world, we lost some of this connection and became separated from our spiritual selves. Shamanic practices help us reconnect with our spiritual selves and our place in the world.
In this retreat, we will explore the rich traditions of shamanic practice—journey work, clearing and cleaning energetic fields, land and house clearing, ways of initiation, setting a solid container for the work, hands-on soul doctoring practices, sound and vibration, and more.
These practices honor ancient wisdom from the Maya, Peru, North America, and ancient Britain, while adapting to the fast pace of modern life. My approach could be called urban shamanism. Within this context and with deep appreciation for my North American Indigenous training and permission (through 16 years of ceremonies and adoption), this body of work is around the practices of energy loss, honoring the elements through ritual, participating with the four elements, creating sacred space, the intentional bringing in of light, the importance of dreamwork, and embracing the interconnectedness of life.
Family and Systemic Constellation work is a profound vehicle for working inside a shamanic consciousness to bring about healing and greater harmony with nature, the human family, and the fields of spirit. During this retreat, the connection between ancient healing understandings and techniques and how they translate into the Constellation field will also be covered.
Throughout our five days together, the mornings will be dedicated to shamanic techniques, while the afternoons will focus on how these practices inform and enrich the Constellation field (Knowing field).
