Walking between the Worlds
An introduction to Lucid Dreaming with Sarah MacLean Bicknell
3 classes – May 11th, May 25th, June 1st 10:00a PT – 11:30am PT
(Please block until 12pm in case the class runs long.)
Lucid Dreaming is a way of being and understanding dreamtime that stretches and expands our consciousness. To quote the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad (to dream by one’s own light) a wisdom emerging from the sixth century BCE, “There are no chariots, spans, roads but he projects from himself chariots, spans, and roads. There are no blisses there, no pleasures, no delights. But he projects from himself blisses, pleasures, and delights…For he is creator.”
These early texts pertaining to dreaming thoroughly support the wisdom that dreaming is a creative power belonging to the dreamer; an immensely valuable source of evolutionary being. Lucid dreaming liberates us from artificial limitations that separates our ability to see ourselves as a creative being. And as we evolve, so does our sense of responsibility. As with any power, there comes an accountability of how you use it.
We will explore together:
- What is a lucid dream and what do I do with it
- Learn about historical traditions of lucid dreaming
- Practices and understandings that the dreamer will be able to recognize and apply
- What is in right order with lucid dreaming
- What to be cautious of and responsible for when lucid dreaming
This course will speak directly about lucid dreaming as a way of expanding consciousness and spiritual growth. You will work in dream groups through this course to explore lucid dreaming practices together. All while holding the question, “Is Lucid dreaming the next evolutionary step?”
How it will work:
- We will meet 3 times on Zoom for 1.5-2 hours. May 11th, May 25th & June 1st.
- You will be placed in a dream group and will meet with your group weekly for 60-90min
