    Winter Solstice & Yule

The time of Yule is drawing into view, inviting us all to create a place of ceremony where we can acknowledge the grand cycles of the Universe.

Jupiter and Saturn are dancing on the western horizon as the sun disappears on its journey under the earth. Last night Pluto was there dancing in the beckoning gateway of the Aquarius age. The planets are in full rehearsal for the grand night passage of December 21st 2020.

Our European indigenous peoples called this festival Yuletide and the burning of the Yule log was kept through the mid-winter celebrations for ten days while it was understood that Grandfather Sun stood still with the Southern Cross before returning back up north. The mistletoe from the oak tree is gathered on this day and hung for the mid-winter festivities and the holly is gathered to protect the homes and remind Grandfather Sun that the sacred tree of summer is awaiting his return.

We will gather on Zoom at 6pm PT, 9pm ET to celebrate the passing under the mantle of Saturn and Jupiter. We will accompany the story of the sun with prayer, song, and blessing and we will sing and dance the sun back as our ancestors have done before us. Together we will start the momentous opening into the Aquarian Age for ourselves and our families. We will bring the magic in through our doors to bless our hearths and hearts.

    What to Bring

    • Decorate your Zoom frame with twinkly lights and candles
    • Bring a lighter to light candles with during the ceremony
    • Fruit and nuts to share at the closing
    • Bowl of water and feather for purification.
    • Let us dress up if we wish

Join us for the celebration and ceremony

    Blessings,

    Sarah
